It is the beginning of the new Apple manufacturing process to make MacBooks. It is totally revolutionary, a game changer. One of the biggest Apple innovations in a decade.
This is no understatement. As this Computerworld blog entry states, if the “brick” truly is this new manufacturing process, this will put Apple lightyears ahead of the competition and the benefits will be so enormous it’s almost ridiculous to think about them at this point. The benefits will basically be endless.
Is this rumor true, or is it truly that, a rumor? I guess we’ll find out on October 14th.
This is an excellent article that provides some insight into some of the small added features of iPhone 2.1. For me personally, my phone seems snappier and more solid. Sounds aren’t randomly going away, contacts load as they should, location services seem to be working, apps aren’t crashing, etc. Overall, this is how the iPhone 2.0 release should have been. It took Apple entirely too long to deliver on this one, but, hey, at least it did it eventually, right?
